Spark is a parent-operated habit and routine tool. Parents create and manage all accounts; children do not interact with any data-collection features directly. We take privacy seriously — your data is never sold or shared for advertising.
We collect only what is necessary to run the app:
We do not collect photos, location data, biometric data, device identifiers, or any information entered by the child directly.
Account holders must be 18 years of age or older.
Your data is used solely to provide the Spark app experience — saving your child's progress, syncing data across your devices, and generating age-appropriate content. We do not sell your data. We do not use your data for advertising.
Spark uses Anthropic's Claude AI to generate personalised daily challenges, bedtime poems, quiz questions, and goal milestones.
When you use an AI feature, only non-identifying context is sent to Anthropic's API: your child's school year level (e.g. "Year 2") and approximate age range (e.g. "7-8"). Your child's name, interests, and any personal identifiers are never transmitted to Anthropic or any other external service.
This data is used only to generate a contextually appropriate response and is not stored or used for training by Anthropic beyond the API request.

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, all associated data is removed from our systems within 30 days.
